Our origin: from a spark to a studio

Sprig Labs began in 2013 in an engineering classroom in Greece. What started with a single soldering iron and a curiosity-driven hack to automate a coffee maker has evolved into a fully equipped electronics and 3D printing sanctuary.

We are born from the maker movement — forged by the belief that a single tinkerer with an idea can share something meaningful with the global community.

The core creed: the three Rs

We refuse to participate in the culture of disposable, black-box technology. Every device designed at Sprig Labs is built upon three non-negotiable pillars.

Repairable. We design for the long haul. Hardware should not be a mystery or a death sentence for a product. Our gadgets are built to be opened, understood and fixed.

Replaceable. Through modularity, we ensure that parts can be swapped and upgraded. You shouldn’t have to throw away the brain just because you want a new sensor.

Reprogrammable. We are fundamentally against proprietary, non-transparent code. We believe that if you can’t look at the code, you don’t truly own the device.

The philosophy of growth: modular by nature

Technology should grow with you, not become obsolete.

Just as a plant develops from a root to a thorn, a canopy and a bloom, our SprigStack ecosystem is designed to be organic and scalable. We provide the foundation — integrated battery management, ESP32 power and 3D-printed resilience — so that you can cultivate your own smart environment.

Digital sovereignty and open source

We stand against smart devices that depend on corporate clouds and hidden telemetry. We want to take control of the smartness back from big tech.

Full ownership. When you buy a Sprig Labs product, it is yours. Completely.

Transparency. All our code is open source and free. We provide the logic so you can provide the ingenuity.

Community power. We are building an ecosystem where makers share their code and functionalities, expanding the smartness of the world collectively and transparently.

Every physical item is a product of professional engineering and artisanal care. We balance machine learning and electronics expertise with the precision of additive manufacturing.

Designed in Greece. Every PCB is engineered, every enclosure is 3D printed and every component is tested in-house in our Greek lab.

Quality over quantity. We collaborate only with trusted manufacturers for complex processes, to ensure that what reaches your workbench is reliable, breadboard-friendly and ready for deployment.
