Our origin: from a spark to a studio
Sprig Labs began in 2013 in an engineering classroom in Greece. What started with a single soldering iron and a curiosity-driven hack to automate a coffee maker has evolved into a fully equipped electronics and 3D printing sanctuary.
We are born from the maker movement — forged by the belief that a single tinkerer with an idea can share something meaningful with the global community.
IIThe core creed: the three Rs
We refuse to participate in the culture of disposable, black-box technology. Every device designed at Sprig Labs is built upon three non-negotiable pillars.
Repairable. We design for the long haul. Hardware should not be a mystery or a death sentence for a product. Our gadgets are built to be opened, understood and fixed.
Replaceable. Through modularity, we ensure that parts can be swapped and upgraded. You shouldn’t have to throw away the brain just because you want a new sensor.
Reprogrammable. We are fundamentally against proprietary, non-transparent code. We believe that if you can’t look at the code, you don’t truly own the device.
