Other notable features include:

  • An integrated Neopixel RGB LED for customizable advanced indications.

  • An integrated IMU chip (it should be noted that its functionality is unverified in this BETA version due to the unavailability of drivers).

  • An upgraded BMS that monitors the battery's temperature through an NTC thermistor.

  • A new and enhanced battery charging IC, equipped with dedicated status LEDs for "charging" and "done charging" states.

  • A dedicated ON-OFF switch allowing the battery to be disconnected from the board without the need for desoldering.

Sprig-ESP32 is part of a family of microcontroller boards that belong to the SprigStack ecosystem.

The Sprig-stack comprises a collection of electronic modules designed to facilitate the development of custom IoT battery-powered modules by providing a variety of grouped functionalities in small, easily programmable, and deployable boards. The Sprig-C6 represents the latest addition to the Sprig-stack ecosystem, which enables the creation of DIY IoT mesh networks leveraging the advanced features of the ESP32-C6 IC. The Sprigs have been primarily developed to offer a single-board solution for the creation of battery-powered projects, featuring precise battery monitoring via a fuel-gauge IC, along with advanced battery charging and protection capabilities. All of these features are integrated into the board, eliminating the need for any setup.

Simply solder your Li-Po / Li-Ion cell, and you are ready to proceed!

This product presents a unique combination of lithium battery charging - protection - and advanced monitoring. With the Sprig-C6, users can concentrate on the other significant requirements of their projects, without the concern of soldering various charging modules or voltage dividers for monitoring. This version enhances the offering further by providing battery temperature monitoring, a Neopixel LED, an accelerometer/magnetometer (non-functional in BETA), and an ON-OFF switch.
